B.A. ENGLISH

Several higher studies options are available. Such as M. A, English, M.A. Linguistic M.A. Journalism, M.A, Mass Communication. A host of career opportunities are available as content writer, technical writer, Proas Reader, Journalist, Teacher, translator, Copy editor, Soft Skills Trainer, etc.

B. COM GENERAL

Students can pursue MCom, MBA, MSW, MA.HRM Professional Programmes like CA, ACS ICWA (or) Can work as Financial Analyst, Accountants Tax consultant, etc

BSc Computer Science

Students can pursue PG Programmes such as MSc CS., MSc IT, MSc, Maths, MCA, MBA., M.A.HRM. Ample Job Opportunities are available in IT sectors as System Administrator, Computer Programmers, Hardware Designers etc

B.B.A Business Administration

The Programme serves as a basic degree for higher studies as MBA, M.com, M.A.HRM MSW, Hospitality and Tourism Management and for certifications such as CA,CFA, CMA, ICAI, The Student acquired leadership and organidational skills in moulding towards becoming an Entrepreneur Group project work as a part of curriculum gives the student as a Perspective into Maragament research

ADMISSIONS

Admission Modality
  • 1. Admission process will be as per the guidelines of Tamil Nadu Government / Manonmaniam Sundaranar University.
  • 2. All the candidates seeking admission to the Undergraduate (UG) can visit to the College and get registered.
  • 3. Students who have got applications are requested to fill their marks and submit the applications to the college after thoroughly checking the necessary details are filled.
  • 4. Admission is made purely on the basis of merit.
  • 5. Applicants will be responsible for the authenticity of all the information they provide.
  • 6. The candidate should satisfy himself/herself in respect of eligibility before registering his/her application.
REGISTRATION

At the time of registering the application must be enclosed with the following

  • 1. Photocopy of +2mark sheet
  • 2. Photocopy of community certificate
  • 3. In case of CBSE& other courses equivalent to +2 of Tamil Nadu
DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED
  • 1. Original mark statement issued by the examination authority
  • 2. Transfer Certificate received from the institution last studied
  • 3. Original Community Certificate
  • 4. Photocopy of Aaadhaar card
  • 5. Photocopy of Ration card
  • 6. Five passport size photographs
  • 7. Age Proof (SSLC)
  • 8. Migration Certificate
  • 9. Any other documents (Nativity Certificate / Income / Community / Non-creamy layer Certificate) as directed by the admitting authorities

ELIGIBILITY
  • BSc Computer Science

Candidates must have passed Class 12 in the Science stream with PCM Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects including computer Science in +2.

  • BBA Business Administration

Students who have successfully completed the 12th standard in any stream can pursue BBA.

  • B.Com. Commerce

Can be pursued by students who have studied Commerce and Accountancy in Higher Secondary School of Examination

  • BA English Literature

The minimum eligibility criteria for admission in BA English is candidates should have qualified Higher Secondary School of Examination.

College Rules and Regulations

EVERY STUDENT MUST OBEY THE RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE INSTITUTION

College Timing

9 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. Students are neither permitted to enter the campus after 8.50 a.m. nor allowed to leave the college before 4.30 p.m. Our Staff members will be available inside the campus till 5.00 p.m

Attendance

Minimum of 90% attendance for theory classes and 100% attendance for the laboratory classes is a must.

Regularity

Students should take prior permission before absenting themselves from the class, failing of which will be viewed seriously and intimated to the parents.

Requisitions

All requisition letters for leave, medical certificate permission, hostel matters including permission and leave must be addressed to the principal.

Communication

All requisition letters for Bonafide Certificates, Scholarship scheme and in-plant training should also be addressed to the principal.

Dress Code

Students should be neatly dressed in the campus; Students should wear Uniform everyday with black shoes.

Identity Card

Each student will be provided with an identity card with his/her name and photo. They should wear the identity card inside the campus and in the bus.

STUDENTS CODE OF CONDUCT

  • 1. Students shall not be involved in any kind of anti – social activities.
  • 2. Students must observe strict discipline in the campus; behave with dignity and courtesy to the principal, faculty members, administrative staff, visitors and fellow students.
  • 3. Unofficial meetings, strikes, demonstrations, agitations, and fund collection are strictly prohibited. Students who violate the above rules are liable to be dismissed from the college summarily.
  • 4. No meeting or entertainment programme shall be organized nor any fund collected in the college or the hostels without the permission of the Principal.
  • 5. Students must wear uniforms on prescribed occasions and working days. Students should always maintain dignity and decency in dressing.
  • 6. All fees (Including Tuition fees & Bus fees) will be charged semester wise. No monthly fee payment system is permitted
  • 7. Students should not go outside the college during class hours. In the event of unavoidable necessity, they should seek special permission from the Principal / Head of the Department.
  • 8. Staff members/Discipline Committee shall have the powers to deny admission to students to classes/office/labs/library/meetings/cultural programs and other programs in the case of violation of the dress code of the college.
  • 9. Students shall always wear identity cards issued by the college with tags and show them as and when demanded by the principal, teachers and office staff/ security staff.
  • 10. No student shall use or keep in possession alcoholic drinks or drugs. Using/ keeping of these items will lead to immediate expulsion of the student from the college and hostels.
  • 11. Students shall not enter classrooms other than their own.
  • 12. A fine of Rs.100/- will be levied for the use of mobile phones without permission
  • 13. Students guilty of visiting other colleges or institutions to take part in acts of indiscipline such as organizing demonstrations or strikes will be deemed culpable and be punished accordingly.
  • 14. The principal shall have the power to inflict the following punishments. a fine will be levied for shortage of attendance and loss of terms certificate, suspension, compulsory issue of T.C and expulsion.
  • 15. Conduct certificates will not be issued automatically. It has to be earned by the students for their good conduct.
  • 16. The principal or other duly constituted college or hostel authorities may frame and issue from time-to-time disciplinary rules of permanent or temporary character, regulating the conduct of students within and outside the college and the hostel premises with a view to maintaining the credit and reputation of the college and the hostels.
  • 17. Students shall desist from disfiguring the class rooms, compound walls and buildings in the college campus by pasting posters or writing on them.
  • 18. Legal action will be initiated against those who destruct or cause to destruct the properties of the college under existing laws including the Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act 1984.
  • 19. Banners, flags, posters, crackers, explosives, weapons etc. shall not be allowed inside the campus or at the gates or compound walls for the purpose of any activity without the permission of the principal.
  • 20. Students who are charged with a criminal offense and are under suspension shall not be allowed to enter the campus without permission.
  • 21. Students from other institutions and outsiders should take prior permission with valid identity proof to meet the principal and staff members. Students from other institutions and outsiders shall not meet or interact with the students of the college inside the campus without the prior written consent of the principal.
  • 22. Students from other institutions and outsiders disrupting any academic activity or functioning of the college office or any unit thereof, shall be treated as infringing on the rights of the college authorities to run the institution in a good manner for the public interest. All such deeds will be treated as infringement on the rights of students. Legal actions including contempt of court will be initiated in all such cases.
  • 23. Banners, posters, holdings, cutouts, flex boards, flag posts or any other things of temporary or permanent nature shall not be erected, installed, or placed within 200 meters of the college gate without the permission of the college authorities.
  • 24. There shall not be any discrimination against any community or category of students of the college and immediate stringent action will be taken against the erring students / officials / faculty members.
  • 25. Outsiders including police and media shall not enter the campus without the permission of the principal.
  • 26. Photography / video / audio recording and playing in the campus is strictly prohibited. Programs in the college shall be covered only by the persons officially authorized by the principal.
  • 27. Students have to park their vehicles at the allotted place at their own risk. Stunting and racing of vehicles within and in a radius of 200 meters of the campus are strictly banned.
  • 28. The security personnel / designated college staff are authorized to inspect the records of the vehicles entering the campus and register the details in the gate register.
  • 29. Students and staff members can make use of the grievance redressal mechanism available in the college.
  • 30. When a student meets a member of the teaching staff of the college within the campus or outside, it is a matter of politeness that he / she should greet him / her.
  • 31. When a teacher enters the class, the students must keep standing until the teacher permits them to sit.
  • 32. Students should keep with them the texts and note books required for classes they attend.
  • 33. No student shall leave the classroom during a lecture without the permission of the teacher.
  • 34. Habitual negligence in college work, dishonesty, obscenity in word or act or any other acts of misconduct will attract severe disciplinary action.
  • 35. Students are forbidden from writing, marking or drawing on class room furniture, walls, floor, roof etc, using ink, paint or any other materials. Mass fine will be imposed on the students of the particular class found violating this rule.
  • 36. Students are expected to keep decency and decorum in their behavior.
  • 37. Ragging is prohibited by law. Students shall not indulge in any such activities. It is strictly banned on campus by law in force.
  • 38. Students using two-wheeler should compulsorily wear helmets and are allowed to carry only one pillion rider. Vehicles shall not be parked near the gate or at the entrance to the porch.
  • 39. The college authorities reserve the right to amend, repeal or modify any of the above rules.

College Policies

Uniform

Students are allowed on the campus only in full uniform. They are instructed to wear the prescribed mode of uniform at all times within the campus. Jeans apparel in any form will not be permitted in the campus.

Mobile Phone

Usage of mobile phones is strictly restricted inside the campus. In case of violation, appropriate punishment will be imposed by the disciplinary authority against such students. All the teachers of the institution have been given the authority to impound mobile phones from the students within the campus.

Ragging

Ragging is a criminal offense. Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited Students are warned not to indulge in any ragging incident, directly or indirectly, as it is a serious offense.

Identity card

Identity cards are issued to each student, The students are instructed to wear their identity cards, at all times during the working days, within the institution.

Drug Abuses

Students are strictly warned against the consumption of liquors, narcotic drugs and other intoxicating materials inside the campus. Those who violate the college rules, will have to meet severe punishment from the college authorities including dismissal from the college without any appeal or enquiry.

Physical Education

Participation in Sports and games is compulsory for the first-year students. Both indoor and outdoor games facilities are offered.
